Drechtwerk stands for doing things together. By working together, we bring people closer to work and vice versa. We are a social work and development company and support job seekers who need a little help in finding a place in the labor market. This can be a workplace at an organization in the region with which we cooperate or a workplace at Drechtwerk itself. We do this by looking differently at the work that needs to be done and by looking at what people can do. And are people not yet ready for work? Then we make them ready for work. That way everyone can participate in society. That is good for employees, employers and the regional labor market.

WerkgeversServicepunt Baanbrekend Drechtsteden (WSP BBD) is a partnership between Sociale Dienst Drechtsteden, UWV and Randstad Groep Nederland. It is committed to a sustainable and inclusive labor market by supporting employers in corporate social responsibility and developing candidates for employment.

Werkgevers Drechtsteden improves the economic business climate within the Drechtsteden. It creates and sees opportunities. By actively stimulating innovation, it increases the attractiveness of the Drechtsteden. Werkgevers Drechtsteden creates a business climate for its members in which economic growth and open cooperation between education, government and entrepreneurs is realized.

In Alblasserdam, the regional work center is located in Het Brughuis. Here you can go for all your questions in the field of (volunteer) work, job search and job training. For example, you can get information about participation places in Alblasserdam for people who cannot get paid work but would like to do something useful. You can also get information about Kansrijk Praktijkleren. Through Kansrijk, residents can follow a free training course according to their wishes and needs and can receive support in finding a suitable workplace.

Nine business associations from the Drechtsteden region are united in the Federatie Ondernemersverenigingen Drechtsteden. The purpose of the Federation is to join forces to promote each other’s interests. And also to be able to lobby more forcefully together for the members and the Drechtsteden.

Da Vinci College

Da Vinci College is a regional training center (ROC) for senior secondary vocational education. We offer more than 220 vocational secondary education (MBO) courses in various directions as well as various business courses and training programs, education and integration programs and vavo. With this broad range of programmes, Da Vinci College is not only at the center of society, but also contributes to the quality of our society.
